Your image stays in this browser. No account, upload, or email required. Keep your original file; this tool creates a new copy.

A little guidance

Choose the format for the job.

WebP for the web

A useful option for website images when your platform supports it. Compare the preview and file size before replacing the original.

JPEG for sharing

A familiar choice for photos and email. Lower quality can make a smaller file, but check fine details. Transparent areas become white.

PNG for transparency

Useful for graphics and transparent backgrounds. A PNG may be larger than a JPEG or WebP, especially for photographs.

The tool uses your browser’s image decoder and canvas encoder. Color and metadata handling can vary by browser. It is intended for everyday web copies, not archival or print masters.

From a useful tool to a useful website

Images are one part of the work.

I build websites and photograph products and storefronts. If your images need more than a smaller file, we can plan the photography and the pages together.
